ConnectWoo Networking Group - Terms of Service

Welcome to ConnectWoo Networking Group! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your membership and participation in the ConnectWoo Networking Group ("ConnectWoo," "the Group," "we," "us," or "our"). By becoming a member or participating in any ConnectWoo activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not join or participate in ConnectWoo.
1. Introduction to ConnectWoo
ConnectWoo is a referral-based networking group based in Worcester, MA, dedicated to helping professionals exchange referrals, build meaningful partnerships, and accelerate business growth. Our culture is built on enthusiasm, accountability, and commitment among our members.
2. Membership Eligibility and Application
2.1. Eligibility: Membership in ConnectWoo is open to professionals who are committed to actively participating in the Group's mission of exchanging referrals and fostering business growth. Specific eligibility criteria may be determined and updated by ConnectWoo organizers (Paul Brady and Ryan Richards) from time to time.
2.2. Application: Prospective members must complete an application process as determined by ConnectWoo. Membership is granted at the sole discretion of ConnectWoo organizers.
2.3. Exclusive Categories: ConnectWoo aims to maintain category exclusivity within the group to prevent direct competition among members. Upon acceptance, your business category will be registered, and ConnectWoo will endeavor not to admit another member in the same primary category.
3. Member Responsibilities and Code of Conduct
3.1. Active Participation: Members are expected to actively participate in weekly meetings and other Group activities. Regular attendance is crucial for building relationships and facilitating referrals.
3.2. Weekly Meetings: The Group meets weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 AM at School Yahd in West Boylston, MA, or at a designated alternative location. Members are expected to attend consistently, discuss objectives, share goals, and present specific "asks" to the Group.
3.3. Referral Generation: The core purpose of ConnectWoo is referral exchange. Members are encouraged to identify and pass qualified business referrals to fellow members.
3.4. Professionalism: All members must conduct themselves professionally and ethically in all interactions related to ConnectWoo, including meetings, one-to-one discussions, and any business conducted as a result of a ConnectWoo referral.
3.5. Accountability: Members are expected to be accountable for their commitments, including following up on referrals, attending meetings, and upholding the Group's values.
3.6. Commitment: A strong commitment to the success of fellow members and the Group as a whole is expected.
3.7. Quarterly Events: Members are expected to contribute to and participate in quarterly networking events, assisting with coordination, promotion, and scheduling as needed.
4. Confidentiality
4.1. Business Information: During meetings and one-to-one discussions, members may share confidential business information, strategies, or client details. All members agree to treat such information with the utmost confidentiality and not to disclose it to third parties without explicit consent.
4.2. Referral Information: Information shared regarding referrals (e.g., client names, needs) must be handled confidentially and used solely for the purpose of pursuing the referral.
5. Referrals and Business Practices
5.1. Quality Referrals: Members are encouraged to provide high-quality, qualified referrals that genuinely benefit both the referred party and the receiving member.
5.2. Service Excellence: Members receiving referrals are expected to provide excellent service and uphold the professional reputation of ConnectWoo. Any issues arising from a referral should be addressed promptly and professionally.
5.3. No Guarantees: ConnectWoo does not guarantee any specific volume or quality of referrals or business generated through membership.
6. Fees and Payments
Membership in ConnectWoo may involve fees. Details regarding membership fees, payment schedules, and any other associated costs will be communicated separately upon application or renewal. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
7. Termination of Membership
7.1. Voluntary Termination: Members may terminate their membership at any time by providing written notice to the ConnectWoo organizers.
7.2. Involuntary Termination: ConnectWoo reserves the right to terminate or suspend a member's participation for reasons including, but not limited to:
* Violation of these Terms of Service.
* Unprofessional conduct or actions detrimental to the Group's reputation.
* Consistent non-attendance or lack of participation.
* Failure to pay membership fees.
* Any other reason deemed appropriate by ConnectWoo organizers.
7.3. Effect of Termination: Upon termination, the member's access to ConnectWoo resources and participation in Group activities will cease.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1. "As Is" Basis: ConnectWoo provides its services and facilitates networking opportunities on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the effectiveness, success, or outcomes of your participation.
8.2. Independent Businesses: Members are independent business professionals. ConnectWoo is not responsible for the actions, services, or products of its individual members. Any disputes between members or between a member and a referred client are solely between those parties.
8.3. Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnectWoo, its organizers (Paul Brady and Ryan Richards), affiliates, and volunteers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use ConnectWoo; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on ConnectWoo; (iii) any content obtained from ConnectWoo; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Amendments to Terms
ConnectWoo reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through other reasonable means. Your continued participation in ConnectWoo after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
